March 24-25, 2023 Severe Storms

 

Severe thunderstorms struck the Southeast during the afternoon and evening hours on March 24th into the early morning hours of March 25th, with several reports of tornadoes, wind damage, and large hail in Kentucky, Tennessee, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Georgia. Across Middle Tennessee, two tornadoes were determined to have touched down in Lincoln and Franklin Counties, and several areas of straight line wind damage also occurred - including a particularly damaging microburst in Perry County.
