Effective on June 15, 2025, the StormReady Supporter program sunset in order to streamline programs that help communities prepare for high impact weather events.
A Supporter designation lasts for 5 years from when the organization was recognized. Thus, current StormReady Supporters will see their recognition expire at varying times between now and June 15, 2030 based on when they were recognized. Once an organization’s StormReady Supporter status expires, they will then have the opportunity to choose to apply for the full StormReady recognition or apply to become a Weather-Ready Nation (WRN) Ambassador if not already in this status If assistance is needed, contact your local NWS Warning Coordination Meteorologist who will guide you through the process.
