Excessive Rainfall and Severe Thunderstorms Threaten the Southern U.S. Again Friday

Heavy to excessive rainfall is forecast for eastern Louisiana into central Alabama which could bring flash, urban, and riverine flooding Friday. A period of gusty winds to 40 mph are expected across northeast Montana Friday and Saturday. Highest wind gusts are expected from Glasgow westward Friday. Highest wind gusts Saturday are expected across east Montana.
Showers will move across northeast Montana Friday and Saturday generating around ¼ inch total rainfall through the period for a few locations. Highest probabilities of the greatest rainfall will generally be centered around Circle, Terry, and Sidney.
Lake Wind Advisory will be in affect Friday through Saturday (9pm) in response to sustained westerly winds of 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 35 mph. Highest chop area and roughest lake conditions are expected to be confined to the eastern shores and across the Dam Area of Fort Peck Lake.
