There is a Slight Risk of severe thunderstorms across the northern parts of the Brush Country to the Victoria Crossroads and a Marginal Risk from just north of Laredo to Corpus Christi tonight into early Sunday morning. Large hail and damaging winds remain our primary threats with any storms that develop.
There is a Marginal Risk of Excessive Rainfall across a majority of South Texas tonight into early Sunday morning. Heavy rainfall with high rainfall rates may lead to localized flash flooding of low lying areas, urban areas, creeks and rivers.
A High Risk of rip currents is in effect through Sunday evening. Swimming conditions are expected to be dangerous during this time, so exercise caution if heading to the beach.
Most of the region will experience a major to extreme heat risk through much of the work week as heat indices are likely to exceed 110 degrees daily through Thursday. We see some slight relief from the heat on Friday. Other than a slight chance of showers/storms across the Brush Country Monday evening, rain-free conditions are expected for the week.
