Heavy precipitation for parts of the Pacific Northwest

Moisture will continue to stream into the Pacific Northwest for the next several days. Heavy rain will continue along the coast, while heavy snow will impact the highest elevations of the Cascades. In the northern Plains and Upper Great Lakes, more arctic air will bring periods of snow, blustery winds and cold wind chills. Light snow is also possible in New England and the Ohio Valley. The NWS Office of the Chief Financial Officer/Chief Administrative Officer leads effective and responsible stewardship of financial, human, and physical resources and establishes budget, internal controls, and administrative policies and procedures to enable NWS to fulfill its mission while building a Weather Ready Nation.

 

NWS OCFO/CAO Vision Statement

 

The Office of the Chief Financial Officer/Chief Administrative Officer shall be known throughout NWS for its expertise, customer service, knowledgeable and professional guidance with a focus on delivering consistent, responsive and effective support to all NWS stakeholders.

We will provide timely, accurate and complete information and analysis to support transparent decision-making.

OCFO/CAO shall foster a positive workplace environment where employees are valued for their contributions, acknowledged for quality work, encouraged to develop skills to reach professional goals, empowered to perform duties at the highest standards, while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
