Prolonged Atmospheric River in the Northwest; Snow in the North-Central US

A prolonged atmospheric river will bring heavy rainfall which may lead to widespread urban and river flooding, heavy mountain snow, along with gusty winds to the Pacific Northwest into the northern Rockies through much of the week. A clipper will bring a period of snow across the upper Midwest and the Great Lakes into Tuesday, before a stronger system bring more wintry impacts. Read More >

   

Fire Weather/Fire Prevention Awareness Week
October 5 - 9, 2020


 

National Fire Prevention Week this year is October 5th through the 9th. In conjunction with federal and state land management agencies, the National Weather Service at Morristown will participate in this week by conducting a Fire Weather/Fire Prevention Awareness Week. During the week, different topics concerning fire weather and fire prevention will be discussed, which will help educate and increase the awareness of fire weather and fire safety.
