There are several areas to highlight when visiting the new portal. First, select which of the great lakes you would like to see forecast information -- or if you want to see all the great lakes, you can remain on "All Lakes."  For our example, we will zoom into Lake Michigan by clicking the highlighted "Michigan" tab.

The hazards (watches, warnings, and advisories) will be the default option initially shown over the Great Lakes, but only one click away are the wave height, wave period, wind speed, wind gust, weather, and temperature.  To access these elements click on the tabs immediately above the map as highlighted below. These forecast elements are displayed at three hour intervals, and the time can be changed by clicking the highlighted arrows to the left or right of the map.

Below the great lakes map, additional links are available for other important weather information including regional radar, satellite imagery, digital graphics (for hourly resolution and the ability to zoom farther into an area of interest), buoy observations, and beach hazards.
