Major Winter Storm to Bring Heavy Snow and Ice from the Southern Plains into the Northeast

A major winter storm continue to impact the southern Plains and will lift into the Northeast through Tuesday with a large area of snow, sleet, and freezing rain expected. There will be significant travel disruption and a concern for power outages in the system's path. An arctic air mass will remain over much of the central U.S. this week.
