THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN NEW ORLEANS HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  ST. TAMMANY PARISH IN SOUTHEAST LOUISIANA
  TANGIPAHOA PARISH IN SOUTHEAST LOUISIANA
  WASHINGTON PARISH IN SOUTHEAST LOUISIANA
  HANCOCK COUNTY IN SOUTHERN MISSISSIPPI
  HARRISON COUNTY IN SOUTHERN MISSISSIPPI
  JACKSON COUNTY IN SOUTHERN MISSISSIPPI
  PEARL RIVER COUNTY IN SOUTHERN MISSISSIPPI
  PIKE COUNTY IN SOUTHERN MISSISSIPPI
  WALTHALL COUNTY IN SOUTHERN MISSISSIPPI

* UNTIL 200 PM CDT

* AT 754 AM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED 
  FLASH FLOODING FROM TORRENTIAL TROPICAL RAINS OVER THE WARNED AREA.

* RAINFALL ESTIMATES FROM RADAR INDICATE BETWEEN 3 AND 10 INCHES OF 
  RAINFALL MAY HAVE ALREADY FALLEN ACROSS THE AREA EAST OF I-55 
  THROUGH EXTREME SOUTH MISSISSIPPI. AN ADDITIONAL 5 TO 10 INCHES OF 
  RAINFALL IS POSSIBLE.

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE 
ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS 
SAFELY. VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED QUICKLY. 
MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.

A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS IMMINENT OR OCCURRING.
IF YOU ARE IN THE WARNING AREA MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND IMMEDIATELY.
RESIDENTS LIVING ALONG STREAMS AND CREEKS SHOULD TAKE IMMEDIATE
PRECAUTIONS TO PROTECT LIFE AND PROPERTY. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CROSS
SWIFTLY FLOWING WATERS OR WATERS OF UNKNOWN DEPTH BY FOOT OR BY
AUTOMOBILE.
