A National Weather Service Damage Assessment Team has surveyed the storm damage in Livingston Parish in the city of Killian. It has been determined the damage was the result of a tornado. The tornado has been rated a EF-1 on the Enhanced Fujita Scale. Damage estimates were consistent with winds of 100 mph.

The tornado touched down along Lower Rome Road just north of Chapel Road. The tornado traveled due east along Lower Rome Road causing significant damage to trees. Several large hardwood trees were uprooted and a few snapped. A metal roof was also peeled off a home. The tornado damage path was 1/2 mile long and was 50 yards wide at its widest point. No injuries were reported.
