Severe Thunderstorms in the Southeast U.S. Saturday; Flash Flooding Threat for the Northern Gulf Coast

Isolated to scattered severe thunderstorms appear possible across portions of the Southeast and Carolinas on Saturday where a Slight Risk (Level 2 of 5) has been issued. Showers and a few isolated thunderstorms will move across the area this evening. The primary hazard is enhanced winds with gusts to around 50 mph near some cells, however small hail up to the size of peas is possible with the strongest cells. Additionally, snow levels have fallen to around 5000 feet along the Rocky Mountain Front with snow showers falling in these areas, including locations near Glacier National Park.
Very windy conditions develop by this afternoon with widespread gusts reaching 40 to 50 mph with some areas likely to see gusts to around 55 mph. Additionally, a cold front and showers will enhance wind gusts, mostly along the Divide and in SW MT. Be sure to secure any loose outdoor objects and be ready for strong crosswinds if travelling and choppy water on area lakes and reservoirs. #MTwx
