Hello and welcome to the National Weather Service Jackson, MS educational resource page.  My name is Felecia Bowser, Warning Coordination Meteorologist, and one my roles is to educate people of the weather hazardous that can affect the ARKLAMISS.  

Did you ever want to learn how to report severe weather and learn about the different weather hazards that affect the ARKLAMISS? Then you are in luck as Skywarn Spotter Classes are now in session! Meteorologists from the the National Weather Service in Jackson, MS goes out to different communities and provide critical safety weather information to the general public. It is free and for all ages! Check out the list of scheduled classes at www.weather.gov/jan/spotter and hopefully you will be able to attend a class near you. See you soon!
