When wind shifts are expected due to cold fronts, warm fronts, sea breezes, prefrontal troughs, etc., usually a time period will be noted for that zone:

late morning
10am-noon
late today
3pm-6pm
early morning
6am-9am
late morning
10am-noon
early afternoon
noon-3pm
late afternoon
3-6pm
early evening
6-9pm
late evening
9pm-midnight
midnight
early tonight
9pm-midnight
late tonight
midnight - 3am
