The Borderland is in for it's warmest weekend of the season so far as temps get even closer to the century mark. While there is still a slight chance that a 100 degree reading or two could occur over the lowlands this weekend, most areas will top out in the upper 90's.
Gusty afternoon winds on Monday, along with very low humidity and drying fuels, will combine to give us critical fire conditions. Thus, a Red Flag Warning is now in effect for all New Mexico fire zones from noon to 9 pm Monday.
