For the information to be of the best use to the forecasters on the operations floor, please submit your report as soon as possible after a severe weather event.

 

Please limit your submissions to events in which you witnessed at least one of the following. Always include the time the event happened and the location:

  • Tornado, waterspout, or funnel cloud: Give as much detail as possible regarding your location, how far away, and in what direction you observed the feature.
     
  • Wind Damage: Any structural damage, downed trees, downed power lines, etc.
     
  • Hail: Specify the size, location, and time of occurrence.
     
  • Flooding: Report any flooding of roads, homes, or businesses.
     
  • Heavy Rain: Rainfall reports are always welcome, including rainfall totals. Rain totals of more than 1 inch in an hour are also helpful.
     
  • Winter Weather: Any reports of snow, sleet, or freezing rain. Please include accumulation information and reports of road conditions.
