Photographs of Nashville's Flash Flood, August 12, 2001

 

The following photographs were taken by Scott Harris (Nashville EMA) early Sunday afternoon (August 12).

Locally heavy rain produced flash flooding along Browns Creek, near the Fairgrounds, in Nashville. National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated rainfall rates between 1 and 2 inches per hour. A flash flood warning was in effect from 2:16 until 4:30 p.m.
