Cold Temperatures for the Eastern U.S.; Lake Effect Snow in the Great Lakes; Heavy Rain in the Pacific Northwest

Cold temperatures will continue across much of the eastern U.S. into today. Heavy lake effect snow continues into today east of Lakes Erie and Ontario. Two Pacific cold fronts will cross the Pacific Northwest early this week followed by another atmospheric river. Overview

The remnants of Hurricane Ike brought strong and damaging winds to southeast Missouri, southern Illinois, southwest Indiana and western Kentucky on Sunday September 14th, 2008. Numerous reports of wind gusts ranging from 50-75 mph were received from Trained Spotters and Emergency Management officials. There were many reports of widespread tree damage, trees down, power lines down, roof damage and mobile home damage.​
