Winter Storm to bring snow, ice, and dangerous travel to New England, Inclement weather expected over the western U.S.

A winter storm will bring a hazardous combination of snow and ice across much of northern New England through tonight. Treacherous travel conditions are likely. The combination of rain and snow melt will also cause ice jam flooding concerns over portions of the Northeast over the next few days.   • Pacific Tsunami Warning Center (PTWC) - Located on Ford Island on Hawai`i's island of Oahu, PTWC provides tsunami warnings for Hawai`i and most countries in the Pacific Basin as well as other U.S. interests in the Pacific outside of Alaska and the U.S. West Coast.
  • International Tsunami Information Center (ITIC) - Collocated with Pacfic Region Headquarters, ITIC coordinates the efforts to extend the services of the national tsunami warning system of the United States to the international community in the Pacific basin.
