A few strong to severe thunderstorms are possible on Saturday afternoon and evening across most of the area. The main hazards will be large hail and damaging winds.

There is a slight risk of excessive rainfall across most of the area on Friday and Saturday. Locally heavy rainfall is possible which may lead to flash flooding- especially in urban and flood prone areas.

Increasing thunderstorm chances and cooler temperatures will continue into the weekend. Warmer and drier conditions are expected for next week.
