Middle Tennessee Weather History For September 20th...
On September 20, 1999...Lightning strikes the upper floor of a
Portland home, setting it on fire. One of the rooms sustains heavy
damage. Firemen are on the scene for about 3.5 hours. The house
suffers considerable smoke and water damage.
