Atmospheric River Bringing Heavy Rain to Southern California and Heavy Snow to the Sierra Nevadas

A strong atmospheric river will continue heavy rain over southern California through Friday. The heaviest rainfall is ongoing today in the Los Angeles Basin. Flash and urban flooding is possible. A prolonged heavy snowfall has begun over the Sierra Nevada Mountains and will continue through Friday. Travel will become increasingly difficult over the passes due to snow and strong winds. CODE is Produced in Two Versions:

  1. National Weather Service Edition - This is the complete version of CODE. Distribution is limited to within the National Weather Service and other U.S. Government Agencies.
     
  2. Public Edition - This version of CODE is intended for public release. Certain proprietary software components have been removed to permit release outside the U.S. Government.

CODE Public Edition is free to public users. All the source code, documentation and patches can be downloaded free of charge. Please read CODE Disclaimer before you download CODE.

Note:  The latest public version of Build 23.0 CODE software can only be obtained by sending a request to michael.istok@noaa.gov with the phrase "Public CODE RPG" in the subject line and, in the body of your email, please provide your full name and optionally your business affiliation.
