Extreme heat will continue in the interior Northwest into midweek before finally waning. Hot temperatures, dry, gusty winds, and isolated dry thunderstorms will bring critical fire weather. Overview

A cluster of thunderstorms produced a brief, weak tornado during the mid-afternoon hours of March 24, 2024, on the east side of Garden City, KS. The tornado produced low-end EF-1 damage primarily to residential homes and businesses.
