The month of June was a wet one across much of Southeast Michigan, especially near the Ohio border. Monthly rainfall amounts exceeded 10" in some locations in Lenawee and Monroe Counties, and river flooding occurred along the River Raisin.
All three climate sites cracked the top-20 wettest Junes, with Flint reaching #5. Temperatures were near normal, however Detroit had only 1 90 degree day while Flint and Saginaw had none.
While rainfall totals at the climate sites were on the soggy side, it was even wetter across Lenawee and Monroe Counties with amounts in excess of 10". Rainfall generally was less as you moved northward toward the Tri-Cities and Thumb, although there were some spots of over 5" in those locations as well. Rainfall totals can be quite variable over a small area during the summer months due to the hit-and-miss nature of heavy rain-producing thunderstorms.
June precip estimates (color fills) overlaid with observed values. Data comes from a combination of radar and observations (official NWS, COOP, and CoCoRaHS).
June rainfall totals were as high as 200-300% of normal in some spots:

On a larger scale, Southeast Michigan was located on the northern edge of a broad swath of wet weather which extended from the Missouri Valley eastward to the mid-Atlantic.

The month was already on the wetter side of normal before a seasonably strong storm on June 27 brought widespread rainfall to the area. Particularly hard hit were Lenawee and Monroe Counties, which saw between 2 and 5 inches of rain from the event (see rainfall totals). This caused areal flooding as well as river flooding along the River Raisin. Flood warnings were issued for the river from Blissfield to Dundee to Monroe. Moderate flooding occurred at Blissfield, while minor flooding occurred at Monroe and Dundee. Impacts included numerous road closures, including the US-223 bridge in Blissfield and the M-50 bridge in Dundee. This event resulted in the 5th highest crest on record at Dundee, the 2nd highest at Blissfield, and a record crest at Adrian.
