Overview

Several cooridors of strong to severe thunderstorms developed along a pre-frontal trough, and migrated across portions of southeast Michigan during the afternoon and early evening hours on Tuesday, May 19th. These storms brought strong and damaging winds, which resulted in numerous areas sustaining microburst and straight-line wind damage. Several gusts in excess of 55 mph were recorded along with wind damage leading to numerous downed trees and large limbs, in addition to powerlines. |
