Severe Thunderstorms and Heavy Rain in the Central US

Isolated to scattered strong to severe thunderstorms may produce damaging winds and hail in the upper Great Lakes into the central High Plains. Heavy rain may create localized areas of flash flooding over parts of the Central Plains and Middle Mississippi Valley. Overview

A line of severe thunderstorms tracked through portions of far southwest Michigan, northern Indiana and northwest Ohio early in the morning on March 6. Wind gusts as high as 65-70 mph were reported which created damage to trees and homes in many locations. A weak and brief EF0 tornado was also confirmed 4 miles southwest of Royal Center, IN (Cass County).
