The ninth tornado developed just southwest of Ransom, Michigan at 7:00 p.m. EDT (6:00 p.m. EST), moved north-northeast across the northwest side of the small community, and lifted just north of town. It produced F1 damage along its 2 mile long, 60 yard wide path.
