Winter Weather Conditions for the West; Severe Weather Potential for the South on Tuesday

A strong cold front will track across the Intermountain West today accompanied by strong winds, heavy snow and elevated fire weather conditions for portions of the western High Plains. This storm is forecast to intensify on Tuesday across the Plains. Overview

A warm front was located across portions of northern Indiana. This combined with an unstable atmosphere and high amounts of shear combined to produce multiple supercell thunderstorms. Several reports of tornadoes were received in Grant, Miami, Wabash and Fulton Counties.
