Tropical Storm Watches for the Northern Mariana Islands; Severe Thunderstorms in the Northern Plains

Tropical Storm Watches have been issued for Agrihan, Pagan and Alamagan in the Northern Mariana Islands, as Tropical Depression 16W moves towards the islands and strengthens. Heavy rain and gusty winds are expected through Saturday. Severe thunderstorms and heavy rain are expected across the Northern Plains this afternoon into tonight. Approximate Start Point/Time:	9 miles NNE of Escatawpa, MS at 1258 PM CDT
Approximate End Point/Time:	9 miles NNE of Escatawpa, MS at 1259 PM CDT

Jackson County Emergency Management has surveyed the storm damage near Escatawpa, MS. It has been determined the damage was the result of a tornado. The tornado has been rated an EF-0 on the Enhanced Fujita Scale. Damage estimates were consistent with winds of 60 mph.

Emergency Manager surveyed minor damage on Goff Farms Road where several small limbs were snapped and a pool liner was lifted and carried about 40 yards. No structural damage was observed.
