Heat indices will climb above 105 degrees this week. Stay hydrated, dress accordingly, and make sure to prioritize shade and breaks indoors.
Heat indices will range from 100-110°F+ west of the Cumberland Plateau through the week and possibly this weekend. A Heat Advisory is in effect through Friday. There are low to medium rain and storm chances each afternoon & evening through Wednesday. Stronger storms may produce gusty winds and localized flash flooding.
Middle TN will experience dangerous heat indices throughout the week.

Middle Tennessee Weather History For August 12th...
On August 12, 1999...A house in Burns (Dickson County) is struck by
lightning and burns to the ground. Firefighters claim the size of the
home and extent of the fire require a large volume of water. The
Dickson Fire Department and Fairview Fire Department are involved in
fighting the blaze.
