We are going to see a prolonged period of hot and humid conditions across Middle TN. Highs will push into the 90s with heat index values just above 100. The heat will peak Tuesday - Thursday with major to extreme heat risk across the area.

Middle Tennessee Weather History For June 23rd...
On June 23, 1969...Two young children drown in Red Boiling Springs as
7.95 inches of rain falls between 330 AM and 830 AM, causing
significant flooding along Salt Lick Creek and some $2 million
dollars in property damage in the community. One-day rainfall records
are set at Lafayette (6.80 inches), North Springs (4 NW) (6.70
inches), and Portland (8.05 inches).
