Heavy Rainfall to Continue Through Tonight in Central Texas; Heat in the East, Interior Northwest, and Southwest

Isolated heavy rainfall will continue through tonight across portions of central Texas, though some relief from the heavy rain is expected on Tuesday. Heat and humidity will remain in place across the Eastern U.S. and interior Northwest U.S. over the next few days with widespread moderate to major Heat Risk. Overview

Here is a summary of all of the 2019 tornadoes in our area. There were 25 total across our four state region, with 19 of those occurring during 3 events: March 14th, June 21st, and June 23rd. There were 2 EF-2's, including one that struck Paducah, KY and passed within 1.5 miles of the NWS Paducah office on March 14th. An EF-1 tornado also passed through Paducah on June 23rd.  Below you will find an interactive map showing all of the tornado tracks for the year. If you zoom in on a certain tornado track, you can view more detailed information. The second tab (Statistics/Tables) has more information regarding the tornadoes in 2019.
