Severe Thunderstorms and Flash Flooding Threat in the Southern U.S.; Atmospheric River in the Pacific Northwest

Severe thunderstorms and areas of heavy to excessive rainfall are forecast over parts of the southern Plains into the Lower Mississippi River Valley through the weekend. An atmospheric river followed by a Pacific storm will bring periods of gusty winds with low elevation heavy rain and high elevation snow to parts of the northwestern U.S through the weekend.
