Thunderstorms and Widespread Rainfall Across the Southern Plains

Isolated severe thunderstorms and widespread showers may produce flash flooding across the Southern Plains through Thursday. Numerous instances of flash flooding are expected in south-central Texas, including portions of the Hill Country; and an additional area across eastern Oklahoma into the Ozarks on Thursday. February 2015 was one of the coldest February's on record across the Missouri Ozarks and southeast Kansas, despite a couple of days early in the month with record warmth. Precipitation was also below normal across the area, although there was a couple of snowstorms in the middle to later portion of the month.
