Critical Fire Weather Threats for Portions of California; Heavy Rain in southern Texas

Fire Weather threats remain critical for portions of California, and smoke is reducing Air Quality; however, rain is forecast mid-week. A strong cold front will bring heavy rain and potential for localized flooding in southern Texas, and continued below normal temperatures across much of the U.S. Snow from the northern portions of this system will spread from the Ohio Valley into the Northeast. Overview

Severe storms and flooding occurred across portions of the Missouri Ozarks on Friday May 31st. Hail up to baseball size occurred in the Branson and Forsyth areas. Other sporadic hail and wind damage occurred across southern Missouri.
