Lingering Snow and Gusty Winds in the Southeast; Wet Weather Developing Across the Desert Southwest

A departing storm may continue to produce snow and gusty winds across portions of North Carolina through the morning commute on Friday. Later Friday and Saturday, a storm system is forecast to move into Southern California and the Desert Southwest with lower elevation rain and mountain snowfall. Overview

A line of storms swept across southeastern Kansas and the Missouri Ozarks during the evening and overnight hours of October 20th into October 21st. Multiple reports of wind damage with embedded tornadoes occurred with this line of storms. The majority of the damage occurred along and south of the Interstate 44 corridor.
