Heavy Snow Across the Northern Plains and Great Lakes; Strong Winds for the East

A slow moving storm system brought widespread heavy rainfall amounts of 2 to 4 inches across much of the Missouri Ozarks Thursday and Thursday night. The heaviest rainfall was concentrated across south central Missouri where localized amounts near 5 inches were observed. This excessive rainfall led to flooding of many streams, low water crossings and some main stem rivers.
