Snow from Upper Midwest to northern New England; Blizzard Conditions in Alaska

A storm system will slide from the Upper Midwest to New England through Tuesday with heavy snow and some hefty accumulations. The same system will potentially produce heavy rain and possible flooding on Tuesday and Wednesday from the South to Texas. A storm system tracked across the region Monday December 9 2013 producing a band of light o moderate snow from far southeastern Kansas into southern Missouri.  Total snow accumulations generally ranged from a dusting up to 3 inches with locally higher amounts between 4 an 5 inches in a narrow band along the Interstate 44 corridor in southwestern Missouri.
