Severe Storms - January 29th, 2013

Event Summary

A potent storm system brought widespread rain and thunderstorms to the region on Tuesday, January 29. Some of the storms were severe and produced localized damaging wind gusts which resulted in downed trees and some structural damage.  The storms also brought much needed rainfall with amounts of two to three inches common across the Ozarks and Osage Plains of southern Missouri and extreme southeastern Kansas. This heavy rainfall did cause of minor flooding of flood prone low water crossings in south central Missouri.
