Tracking Two Storms Impacting the Northern U.S. Through Thanksgiving and into This Weekend

Heavy lake effect snow, gusty winds, and localized blizzard conditions will persist through Thanksgiving near and downwind of the Great Lakes. Rain and mountain snow are forecast for the Pacific Northwest. Confidence is increasing for another winter storm to develop over the northern and central Rockies Friday and track across the central Plains through the Midwest and Great Lakes this weekend. The WSR-88D Doppler Radar (KSGF) at Springfield, Missouri has
experienced a hardware failure and is not operational at this
time. Parts have been order to repair the radar and National Weather 
Service radar technicians will be on site this week to begin repairs to
the radar. The radar will be restored to normal operation as soon as possible.

KTWX in Topeka
KEAX in Pleasant Hill/Kansas City
KLSX in St. Louis
KPAH in Paducah Kentucky
KNQA in Memphis
