Snow from Upper Midwest to northern New England; Blizzard Conditions in Alaska

A storm system will slide from the Upper Midwest to New England through Tuesday with heavy snow and some hefty accumulations. The same system will potentially produce heavy rain and possible flooding on Tuesday and Wednesday from the South to Texas. Finally, in Alaska, a strengthening system over the Bering Sea will sweep across the state with strong winds and heavy snow through midweek. Read More >


A strong cold front pushed through the region durnig the evening and overnight hours of March 6th-7th, 2017.  The front interacted with instability and strong wind shear already in place across the region to produce quite a bit of wind damage and a few tornadoes.
