Tracking Atmospheric River in the Northwest U.S. and Clipper with Winter Weather in the Northeast U.S.

A prolonged atmospheric river will continue to bring gusty winds, heavy rainfall which may lead to urban and river flooding with possible landslides, and heavy inter-mountain snow over the Pacific Northwest into the northern Rockies through Thursday. Overview

Scattered thunderstorms produced locally strong to damaging winds across the Missouri Ozarks and southeastern Kansas Saturday, July 7.  Severe storms produced downburst winds up to 60 mph resulting in downed trees and powerlines in localized areas. There were also reports of trees on a few homes and barns that were damaged or destroyed.
