A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in effect through 1AM for the southern Concho Valley and Northern Edwards Plateau. The main hazards are large hail up to 3", and damaging wind gusts to 60 MPH.

Strong to severe thunderstorms are expected to develop over the Fort Stockton area and progress northeast across the Northern Edwards Plateau, and portions of the Concho Valley and Northwest Hill Country this evening and into the overnight hours.

Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected this afternoon and evening. These storms could produce heavy rainfall leading to flash flooding.

There's a marginal risk for severe weather Wednesday afternoon and evening.

Below normal temperatures are expected for the work week before a warming trend this weekend. There's chances for isolated to scattered thunderstorms Wednesday and Thursday, with lower chances for the weekend.
