Current radar loop. Scattered thunderstorms are expected to develop along a dryline just west of our area late this afternoon, and then move northeast across west-central Texas through the evening and into early tonight.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in effect for the most of the area (counties shaded in pink on the map) until 11 PM tonight.
At least scattered storms will be possible again this afternoon and evening. Some of these storms will be severe with large to very large hail, damaging winds, and isolated tornadoes possible.
Showers and thunderstorms will become more widespread this evening and may produce pockets of heavy rainfall.
Skywarn training will be provided by the National Weather Service today in Eldorado, TX at the Eldorado VFD from 6PM to 8PM. This training is free and signup is not required.
