A Heat Advisory is in Effect this afternoon for portions of the Hill Country and Heartland, including the towns of Brady, San Saba, Mason, and Junction. In these areas, high temperatures this afternoon will climb to near the 105 degree mark.
A Heat Advisory has been issued for Tuesday afternoon and evening, from 1 PM through 7 PM. This includes parts of the Hill Country and Heartland, with the specific counties shaded in orange on the map. In these areas, temperatures are expected to reach 105 to 108 degrees for highs.
Here are a few heat safety reminders as we expect hot temperatures to return to the area early next week. The hottest days will be Tuesday and Wednesday, when most locations reach or exceed 100 degrees.
