Strong Earthquake North of Puerto Rico – No Tsunami Threat A magnitude 5.0 earthquake occurred at 10:18 AM AST on February 19, 2026, approximately 102 miles north of Puerto Rico at a depth of 10 km. The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center confirms there is no tsunami threat to Puerto Rico or the U.S. Virgin Islands. Aftershocks are possible.
