Conditions will worsen this weekend as a high rip current risk develops Saturday night and persists into early next week. Increasing wave energy and strengthening winds will create dangerous swimming conditions, particularly along north-facing and exposed beaches. Life-threatening rip currents will be possible. | Un riesgo moderado de corrientes marinas continúa hoy en Puerto Rico y las Islas Vírgenes de EE. UU. Las condiciones empeorarán durante el fin de semana, cuando se desarrolle un riesgo alto desde la noche del sábado y continúe hasta principios de la próxima semana. Increasing swells combined with strengthening winds will result in hazardous marine conditions across the offshore Atlantic waters of Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. These conditions are expected to develop Saturday afternoon and persist through at least Monday afternoon. Small craft operators should exercise caution, particularly in offshore waters, and remain aware of rapidly changing sea conditions.
