Unsettled Weather Continues in the Southern Plains and Northeast into Mid Week

Two storm systems will continue to bring unsettled weather to the Lower 48 through the middle of the week. Heavy to excessive rainfall may lead to flash flooding over portions of east Texas into the lower Mississippi Valley Tuesday into Wednesday. May 6th: Another active afternoon is expected today with heavy rainfall and thunderstorms, mainly over central Puerto Rico. Please note that soils are saturated, and the potential for flooding and landslides remains high.
