Weekend Plans? Increasing Thunderstorm Chances

Another warm and dry week is ahead as temperatures remain in the upper 70s to mid 80s through Friday.

Rain is expected across the area at least briefly between Friday night and Sunday morning ahead of and along a cold front. And while this is much needed rain, it also comes with an increasing chance for thunderstorms. If you're planning on being outside this weekend remember that if thunder roars, go indoors! Nowhere outside is safe during a thunderstorm. Have multiple ways of getting warnings and weather information where you are.
