Another Round of Heavy Rain and Mountain Snow in California; Snow in the Great Lakes and Northeast

Another round of heavy rainfall will renew concerns for additional flash flooding and landslides in southern California around burn scars and coastal mountain ranges. A low pressure system is bringing enhanced snowfall downwind from the lower Great Lakes into the Northeast mountain ranges. Dry and breezy conditions are expected today as a frontal boundary has moved south of the region. The strongest winds will be in northeast Tennessee and southwest Virginia with gusts up to 30 mph in some spots. Monday will be dry and cooler with a warming trend later in the week. Rain chances return later on Tuesday, especially north of Interstate 40.
