Weather History for Veterans Day: Back on November 11, 1911 afternoon temperatures were in the 70s to low 80s, quite warm for that time of year. A very strong cold front plowed through the area bringing an abrupt end to the warmth. Low temperatures by the following morning, only 12 to 18 hours later, were down into the teens, roughly 60 to 65 degrees colder. Wow, what a change!
