Critical fire weather conditions are expected today for areas generally north and west of a Sonora to Brady to Brownwood line. Relative humidity values of 15 to 20 percent will combine with warm temperatures, winds of 20 to 30 mph, and high fire danger, and likely result in Red Flag conditions across this area. Any outdoor activity that could result in flames or sparks is discouraged.
Warm and windy conditions expected again today. The Big Country is expected to see the strongest winds. Although it won't be as windy as Thursday, winds will still reach 25 to 35 mph speeds in the Big Country. A Wind Advisory is in effect for the Big Country from 11 AM to 7 PM.
Thunderstorms are possible Tuesday. A few storms may be severe.
